A perk of being an educator is that you are given breaks to recover from all the hard work you put in throughout the school year. While COVID has thrown everyone for a loop this calendar year, I want to look ahead to post-COVID times. Are there any vacations you are looking forward to taking?

I really am looking forward to taking a trip to see the Anne of Green Gables sites at Prince Edward Island in Canada. My father in law lives nearby in New Brunswick and we haven't been able to head to Canada since all of this covid stuff shut down the border to essential travel with a 14 day quarantine once we arrive. Don't want to eat up vacation on quarantine in another country :(

When all is said and done, my husband and I would love to go back and take another trip to WDW in FL. We love to go every few years, but we don't want to go if we have to wear a mask while walking around the parks all day.

@Jennifer Bergeron- I have to admit we are a little tempted to go. The minimal amounts of people everywhere sounds appealing. Haha!

My daughter and I spent a day at Disney 10 days ago and it was MAGICAL as always.  We did have to wear masks at all times and the "mask police" were watching and warning continually but it was still wonderful!  The new look of the castle is beautiful and some new rides are well worth the lines.

We were surprised just how many people were allowed into the park.  It was very full and lines for everything but always thrilled to spend a day or more with the MOUSE and in a very HAPPY PLACE!

I think I could probably handle the mask for a one-day visit. Not keen on the idea for 7 days, though. Glad you guys were able to enjoy a Magical time! It is our favorite place to go, and we're not spring chickens. A few years ago, we brought my 75 and 78 year old parents, and they had a blast!

@Wendy Sue Morris- that is great to hear it went well. I think that is something I was curious about- is it the same "Disney" experience. Sounds like Disney is trying to do their best during these circumstances.

This is so good to know, Wendy! We planned to take my kids to Disneyland for the first time in January (before the pandemic existed). While our vacation will be delayed (the park still isn't open), we hope it's still magical. Surprisingly, my kids don't mind wearing their "doctors' masks" and hopefully the magic of Disneyland will win over the inconvenience.

@Carla Belyea- Makes complete sense. Who wants to go on vacation to a place where you have to quarantine? I hope you get to go soon.
